Echo, your AI companion, drafts your days in your own voice from your entries, captures, and photo context, and turns your photos into films you can watch. You review every draft before it saves. Each evening at your preferred time, Echo prepares one written draft of your day in your own voice. It reads your DiaryVault entries, your Captures, and the time and location on your photos, nothing else. You review the draft and decide what becomes part of your vault.
Review-first, always
Every draft waits for you. Edit it, approve it, or dismiss it. Nothing saves to your vault until you say so. Auto-approve is opt-in and gated on a track record of low edits. The first 21 days are review-only by default.
Captures: raw signal, not yet a story
Save a quick photo, voice note, or text fragment in the moment. Captures don't have to be polished or complete. They're context Echo can later weave into your daily draft. The vault keeps them whether or not they make it into an entry.
Eras, Identity Snapshot, Year Review
Approved entries become the substrate for bigger reflections. DiaryVault clusters your life into Eras with auto-generated chapter titles. Your Identity Snapshot summarizes who you are right now, drawn from what you've actually written. Year Review is your year, written from what you actually lived.

Beyond the daily draft, Echo reads across your vault and can answer questions about your own life. Free Echo chat is available to every user; the full Echo insight engine activates with Agent.

What Makes DiaryVault Different
