How a photo becomes a memory

- Echo suggests connections. Echo reads the photo and your line, then proposes the people, places, feelings, and themes the moment might connect to.
- You confirm what is true. Keep what feels right, edit or remove what does not, and save. The Memory Card joins Your Constellation with full provenance back to the moment that created it.
Over time your confirmed Memory Cards connect into a living map. The same place appearing across three memories. A feeling that keeps returning. A person who shows up in every chapter. You never manage any of it. Your Constellation gathers as you keep going.

What Echo reads, and what it never touches
Echo reads only what you add to DiaryVault: your entries, your captures, and the photos you import, including their time and location metadata. It does not read your calendar, email, messages, browsing history, or location pings. Before Echo reads from your photo library, DiaryVault screens for sensitive images such as documents, screenshots, and private messages so they are not read into Memory Cards.
Memories are encrypted in transit and at rest. There is no social feed by default and no ads, ever. Your data is not used to train public AI models.
